About the event
Over 14,000 people are without a home throughout Oregon communities - the 3rd highest in the country per capita. Also the 2nd highest rate of unsheltered homeless in the country.
Willamette Tides, Unity Shelter, and Corvallis Sustainability Coalition are hosting The River Shelter Race. All funds raised are donated to Unity Shelter's work in our community to build micro shelters and provide needed recources. Join us on September 9th for the River Shelter Race.

Please meet at Willamette Boat Landing in Corvallis, OR.
Parking is available at Willamette Boat Landing parking lots.
All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to join the race.Â
The 10 mile event will be from Willamette Boat Landing to Hyak Park begininning at 10:30am with check-in at 10:00am.
The 1 mile fun float event from Willamette Boat Landing to Michael's Landing beginning at 11:00am with check-in at 10:30 and will provide a great float option for families and tubers. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 racers for each event.
Your registration of $35 dollars will be donated to Unity Shelter and will include your shuttle ride.
Volunteers will be at the start and finish to watch over your paddlecraft while you ride the shuttle back to your vehicle.
Food and drink vendors and entertainment will be located adjacent to Willamette Boat Landing in the Crystal Lake Sports Field.
For anyone without a personal paddlecraft, Willamette Tides has river tubes, kayaks, and rafts available for a discounted rate and can be reserved at check out.
