The River Community

It would be great if we had a thread dedicated to sharing knowledge about where to park and to arrange shuttles. This is a perpetual problem for a multi-day Willamette River trip. I'm in the City of Albany, and I know the City won't let you park overnight in Bowman, Bryant, or Takena Landing parks. Hyak Park (Benton County) is also forbidden for overnight. This is a real problem if you want to leave a car at one of the take-outs near Albany. Best solution at the moment is on-street parking, and a short walk from one of those parks. If anyone ever needs help running a shuttle to or from Albany or nearby, let me know. Always happy to help! I would love to hear about some good overnight parking spots, everywhere between Eugene and Salem.

On Saturday February 18th the Corvallis Polar Plunge group dove into freezing water and raised over 50k for Oregon's Special Olympic Athletes! The 13th annual dive took place at Crystal Lake Boat ramp with the support of hundreds in the community to include the polar bear mascot.
